The HND Musical Theatre course focuses primarily on the practical and theoretical skills of a modern performer through classes and workshops, which include acting, voice, singing, production, jazz, ballet, contemporary, professional development.
Students will also have the opportunity to take part in industry-led workshops and classes, as part of their training, to gain knowledge and experience of current trends in the profession. All the lecturers on the acting courses are highly trained, with years of industry experience.
Students have the opportunity to perform in two musical theatre productions throughout the academic year. In the past, students have performed in various professional venues.
An HNC Musical Theatre is essential to access this programme. Higher English, Drama or Music are recommended but not essential. Entry is by audition only. Interview. Previous drama performance experience preferred but not essential.
