The music industry is one of the UK’s largest creative industries – and the BA Sound Production course opens doors for those with talent, drive and ability to forge varied, lifelong careers within this dynamic and ever-changing industry. Accredited by University of the West of Scotland, this course is offered at our Cumbernauld campus and continues on from HND Sound Production courses.

The focus of the programme is to shape and enhance your existing knowledge, build your confidence, develop your technical skills, and prepare you for a successful career in this ever-changing and vibrant industry. You will develop technical production skills in the subjects of music, sound design and audio production and have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as post-production and other subjects depending on your career choice.

You will have opportunities to work closely with our BA Music Performance students across our main campuses receiving extensive staff expertise to help you make the most of your experience at New College Lanarkshire. The course is open to all those with an interest in audio post, music, songwriting, production, experimental sound, etc. The course will encourage you to develop a variety of specialisms.
