The nationally recognised HNC Acting and Performance is aimed at those with experience and/or genuine interest in acting and performance. It will allow you to develop your skills in voice, movement, acting and stage craft.

Mandatory units are:
Acting 1: developing skills; Acting and performance: group award graded unit 1; Movement 1: developing skills; Production 1: developing skills; Voice 1: developing Skills.

Option units are:
Acting methods and practitioners; Creating drama scripts; Devising theatre; Shakespeare in practice; Drama skills: leading a workshop.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English plus 4 subjects at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You will be required to attend for interview.

Progression Routes

2nd year of the BA (Hons) Drama and Performance following successful completion of this HNC.
