This course is aimed at aspiring musicians keen to develop skills in the pop, rock and indie genres, be those school leavers, adult returners or those currently working in the music industry.It is designed as a starting point in music performance, so if you are interested in working in the music industry or wish to pursue Continuous Professional Development if you are already working in some capacity in the music industry, this is the course for you.

NQ Music offers the following specialisms: Bass, Drums, Guitar, Piano/Keyboard, Vocalist.

Creative Music Project; Appreciation of Music; MIDI Sequencing; Music: Live Performance; Music: Core Skills; Communication, Numeracy and ICT; Music and Society; Music Project; Planning a Music Event; The Sound and Music Industry; Arranging and Composing Music; Improvising Music; Music: Aural Skills; Modern Music in Practice; Music Performance Session Styles and Techniques; Music Theory and Harmony; Performing Music on One Instrument or Voice; Specialisms in Bass, Drums, Guitar, Piano/Keyboard, Vocalist.

Entry Requirements

Subjects at National 4 or 5. Entry by audition and interview.
