This course will allow you to explore a variety of technologies in this digital world and understand the underlying concepts. You will be introduced to a selection of areas that impact aspects of all our daily lives including Basic Computing Concepts, Coding and Software Development, Networking and Cyber Security, Technical Support, UX design and Web Development, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Each subject area is tailored towards current job opportunities in the industry which will give you the best opportunity to succeed in this dynamic and exciting area of work.

You will learn and understand the fundamental workings of a PC system, identify and resolve common issues that can occur with regular use. You will be introduced to the legislation and laws governing the use of systems in any environment, study the design and operation of Basic Computing Concepts, Coding and Software Development, Networking and Cyber Security, UX design and Web Development, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and how it impacts on systems and our daily life.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher; or Foundation Apprenticeship IT: Software Development or IT: Hardware and System Support; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry subject to interview.
