Content

This course aims to provide students with practical welding skills and industry-standard knowledge.

Students will work towards two qualifications whilst gaining hands-on experience with tools, and an understanding of essential workplace practices.

Topics covered in this course include:

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW); Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW); Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW); Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW); Oxy-fuel cutting; Plasma cutting; Fabrication; Computer Aided Design (CAD); Maths; Communications & IT.

Entry Requirements

National 4 Maths.
