The course has been designed to provide a comprehensive blend of both practical and theoretical learning experiences. By incorporating the Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 qualification alongside the National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, students will gain valuable hands-on skills in Mechanical processes, as well as a solid grounding in the underpinning engineering principles. This approach ensures that learners are well-prepared for the demands of the industry, developing technical expertise through workshop-based activities and classroom study. This structure aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to progress confidently into further training, apprenticeships, or employment within the Mechanical engineering sector.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including Maths, science or a technology subject, or relevant qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
