This course aims to build essential skills across electrical and mechanical engineering as well as fabrication and welding. You will have the chance to experience a range of engineering skills in a practical environment being taught by industry experienced engineers. If you have a passion or curiosity for how things work then this course will give you a range of practical skills that are valued in the engineering industry.

You will study and learn a broad range of engineering skills across fabrication, welding, manufacturing, mechanical maintenance and electrical engineering this includes hand skills across each discipline, being able to conform to health and safety requirements, use testing equipment, using engineering software, engineering maths and information technology as well as being able to work independently and as part of a cohort of engineering students.

Entry Requirements

National 4 Maths plus National 3 English and a science or technological subject. Interview and aptitude test.

Subject to successful completion of the course including Maths units, then you could progress onto the following courses: Engineering Skills Level 5 / NC Fabrication & Welding
