This one-year course gives you the skills, knowledge, and understanding you'll need for a career in engineering, with a blend of mechanical and electrical units.

On completion of this course, you can move into a technician-level job, apply for apprenticeships, continue into 2nd year of the HND programme or apply to study at degree level.

You'll study:

Communications; Engineering Maths 1 & 2; Principles of Engineering Systems; Engineering Communication; Engineering Measurement and Systems Monitoring; Graded Unit 1; DC/AC Principles; Three Phase Systems; Safety Engineering; Engineering Principles; Materials Selection; Computer Programming; CAD for Engineers.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Maths and preferably Engineering Science or Physics, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You'll be invited for interview.

Progression Routes

The college have articulation agreements with Glasgow Caledonian University and Napier to gain advanced entry to their degree programmes.
