This course offers a practical and supportive introduction to hospitality, ideal for those looking to take their first steps into the industry. The unique combination of baking and barista, is perfect for aspiring bakers who dream of opening their own coffee shop in the future. You will be given the opportunity to sell your baked products, with a specialist coffee, from the college's own coffee cart or training restaurant.

This course covers:
Ingredients used in baking; Weighing and measuring; Baking terms and techniques; Baking a wide range of products such as: scones, cupcakes, traybakes, sponges and breads; Related theory to support what you learn in the kitchen; Making a variety of coffees and hot drinks.

Entry Requirements

National 3 English and Maths or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3.
