This one-year course offers you the chance to explore and enhance your acting skills in a practical and dynamic environment as well as prepare you for the reality of preparing for and sustaining paid work in the world of acting.
This course offers a diverse and exciting curriculum that allows you to create and perform in various professional settings.
Here's a glimpse of what you may learn:
develop vocal skills for improved diction, vocal clarity, tone, and projection; enhance movement skills to embody different characters effectively; gain insights into touring theatre production companies through community drama projects; create and perform site-specific and/or street theatre performances in a location of your choice; develop acting skills for production, from text research to rehearsing techniques and performing full-length productions for live audiences; introduction to singing for actors and the development of singing skills and techniques; creating and leading workshops in a community-based setting, working with diverse groups including children, young people, and adults; mentorship in creating a professional online profile and exposure to external practitioners.
1 Higher, preferably in English or Drama or other media based subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and audition.
