The BSc Digital Development (Year 3 Top-Up) is a one-year, full-time degree programme designed for students who have completed an HND in Software Development or Digital Design and Web Development and want to take the next step in their computing career. This course builds on your existing knowledge and helps you develop the advanced digital, technical and professional skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-moving tech industry.

Modules include:

Research Methods in Computing – develop the skills needed to investigate, analyse and evaluate computing problems; Professional Computing Practice – prepare for the workplace with a focus on ethics, teamwork and professional standards; Project Management for IT – learn how to plan, manage and deliver successful IT projects; Programming for Mobile Devices – build and test applications for modern mobile platforms; Internet Scripting - introduces students to modern web apps using C# and .NET. Working in Visual Studio Code, learn how to connect to databases and create web apps using .NET tools such as LINQ and Entity Framework; Fundamentals of Data Science – explore data analysis, insights and decision-making using real datasets; DevOps – gain experience with modern development pipelines, automation and collaboration tools.
