The UWS Graduate Apprenticeship BSc (Hons) IT: Software Development is a British Computer Society accredited degree which is mostly delivered through work-based learning. Typically, you will spend one day every 1-2 weeks at UWS. While the work and learning you do in your workplace counts towards more than three quarters of your degree, you will also be a student at the new UWS Lanarkshire campus. All Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) degrees require that applicants are employed in a relevant role in Scotland, and they have the right to live and work in Scotland.

Content includes:
Introduction to Software Development; Mathematics for Computing; Introduction to Web Development; Computing Systems; Database Development; Programming for Mobile Devices; Software Engineering Practice; Information Security Management; Research Methods in Computing; Data Warehouse Environment; HCI & User Experience Design; Secure Programming.

Entry Requirements

Standard entry:
4 Highers at BCCC plus National 5 English and Maths.
