This course offers a unique blend of flexible learning through elective choices for a personalised experience and an interdisciplinary collaboration with Gray’s School of Art.
You will participate in project-based learning and will collaborate with peers across various computing disciplines. You will take part in real-world development teams with industry professionals frequently presenting challenges that you and your teams must tackle, refining your collaborative skills and preparing you for industry demands.
On this course you will develop a versatile skillset learning practical skills in technical competencies as well as creative fundamentals. You will have the opportunity to take part in a placement programme where you will gain valuable knowledge and experience within the competitive working world, allowing you to leave with an insight into industry practice. You will build a comprehensive professional portfolio throughout your studies, exploring the subject area of games design fully, equipping you for a career in the competitive discipline.
Sustainability will be a key topic on our real-world project in Year 2, solving sustainability issues with entrepreneurial thinking. In this project you will select a challenge to tackle, identify who the problem affects and then build a self-sustaining business model to bring jobs to the economy. It is through learning opportunities like the real-world project that we embed sustainability in our undergraduate offering so that it can continue to be considered through your chosen career path.

Standard entry: 4 Highers at BBCC plus English and Maths at National 5 (if not held at Higher).
Widening access entry: 3 - 4 Highers at BCC or CCCC plus English and Maths at National 5 (if not held at Higher).
