In partnership with the University of the West of Scotland, this specialist programme in computer networking is designed to build upon your HND Computing: Technical Support or Networking, and allows you to complete your degree in one year at New College Lanarkshire.

This programme is recognised by the British Computer Society (BCS) as fulfilling Part I of the academic requirements for membership. (Full membership of the BCS requires the completion of a recognised Honours or Masters degree programme fulfilling both Parts I and II of the academic requirements.)

On this course you will learn both Windows and Unix/Linux system administration, giving you the knowledge and skills required to maintain servers on a network. You will also learn more about data security and the operation of networks. The course also looks at the central issue of network design and optimisation and focuses on more advanced aspects of server and network design, administration and management as well as further developing your professional and interpersonal skills.
