This course is designed to make sure you meet the varied needs of the industry. This HNC will provide you with practical skills in advanced theories of engineering systems using the latest simulation and design software. You will study a variety of technical subjects including Principles of Engineering Systems, Dynamics and Materials Selection.

The subjects will be taught at a high level and will allow you to develop transferable skills which are essential for your future engineering career.

Content:

Principles of Engineering Systems; Engineering Measurement and System Monitoring; Engineering Communication; Engineering Mathematics 1; Engineering Drawing; Engineering Principles
Dynamics; Materials Selection; Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Communication: Practical Skills; Engineering Systems: Graded Unit 1.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and preferably Physics or another science-based subject, or NC Engineering Systems (Level 6), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and aptitude test.
