If you want to become an Electrician or get into an electrical engineering or wind turbine technician role and find yourself without the necessary qualifications for getting a foot on the ladder then this course is the one for you.

Content:

Electrical Wiring Skills; Electrical Principles; Fundamental Electrical Systems; Electrical Testing and Measurement; Rotating Electrical Machines; Safe Working Practices; Electricity in the Home; Fundamental Electronics; Domestic Wind Systems; Conventional Energy Generation and the Grid; Introduction to Energy Systems.

There are also units in developing core skills of literacy, maths and ICT, to prepare you for employment or progression to higher courses.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths and a science or technological subject. Entry subject to interview and aptitude test.
