This course will provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry. The practical aspects of the course are facilitated in our Taste training restaurant and commercial kitchens providing a realistic learning environment.
The course will include: Food and Beverage Service; Food Preparation; Health and Safety in Hospitality; Working Effectively as part of a Hospitality Team; Impact of Personal Behaviour; Maintain Food Safety in a Hospitality Environment; Costing and other specialist skills such as Barista.
Subjects at National 5 or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5
Progression to SVQ Professional Cookery at (SCQF Level 6) or Modern Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery at Level 6. Alternatively, learners can enter into employment in the fast-growing hospitality industry.
