HND Web Development with UX Design Year 2 will build on and expand the knowledge and skills gained during HNC or HND year 1, required to thrive in this exciting and ever-evolving digital tech sector.

Year 2 of the course combines front-end and back-end web development incorporating client and server-side technologies as well as some software/game/ app development. The course gives you the opportunity to specialise in front-end development and UX design or back-end development and software.

You'll learn practical skills and gain knowledge in the following areas:

HTML/CSS frameworks; SCSS; PHP/MySQL; JavaScript/JS Libraries/JS Frameworks; UX; DevOps; Git and GitHub.

Entry Requirements

HNC Web Development with UX Design, or relevant HNC. Interview.

Progression Routes

Direct entry into Year 3 of various degrees at a selection of Scottish universities or Graduate Apprenticeship.
