This foundation course is ideal for learners who are new to bakery and cookery. It aims to provide an introduction to techniques, terms and skills involved in both baking and cooking. This hands-on course covers: Food Hygiene, Bread Making, Craft baking, Food Preparation Techniques, Cake Decoration.
English and Maths at National 3, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3.
Progression on to a wide range of relevant courses at SCQF Level 5 or employment.
