Want to develop your bakery skills? This course will help you gain the practical experience, knowledge and qualifications needed for a job in the Bakery Industry.
You'll have the opportunity to study and train for a career as a baker or cake decorator, with excellent career opportunities and progression routes.
Your course will include a variety of hands-on practical and theory-based units:
Bakery processes; Aeration; Post-baking process skills; Craft baking; Food hygiene; Flour confectionery processes; Measuring and mixing.
3 subjects at National 4 preferably including Health and Food Technology or Hospitality: Practical Cookery. Or NQ Bakery (Level 4), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. All applicants will be invited for interview.
NQ Bakery (Level 6), or opportunities in the Bakery and Cake Decoration industry.
