This two-year, full-time HND Music (Drums) course helps you develop the technical skill, creativity, and stage confidence needed to thrive as a modern drummer. You’ll rehearse, record, and perform with other musicians across genres — learning how to adapt your playing for live gigs and studio sessions.

The course includes classes on the following:

First Study – Drums; Live Performance; Digital Audio Workstations; Music Theory & Rhythm Studies; Songwriting & Composition; Music Business for Musicians; Music History & Context.

Entry Requirements

Higher Music, or NQ Music - Drums (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry by interview and audition. Grade 5 or above in the chosen instrument from Trinity Rock School, London College of Music or ABRSM.

Possible progression to degree level course.
