Content

This course offers a broad introduction to the video games industry, covering game analysis, esports, game design, art, animation, programming, and testing. Participants create their own games and gain practical experience across various aspects of game development, preparing them for careers in the industry.

You will study:
3D Modelling and Animation; Character creation; Games programming; Computer programming; Animation fundamentals; Games portfolio; Gameplay; eSport game performance; Developmental drawing; Computing project; 3D modelling and printing; NPA Computer games development.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English, Maths and preferably an arts or STEM-based subject; or Certificate: Computing with Digital Media; or Certificate: Computing with Computer Games Design and Cyber Security. Interview and pre-entry test.

Progression Routes

Advanced Certificate: Computer Games Design and Animation SCQF Level 6.
