If you’ve always wanted to work in a coffee shop, behind a bar or start your journey in hospitality, but lacked the confidence to do so, then this course is the one for you. You will be in a practical setting, making a variety of coffees and cocktails, doing some cooking and will take part in a few events. You will also do the theory related to your practical subjects.

Course content:
Mental health and wellbeing: gain a mental health and wellbeing award at SCQF Level 4; Barista skills: master the art of being a skilled Barista; Mixology: learn how to mix ingredients to create fabulous drinks; Customer care: improve your customer care skills by looking at techniques to keep your customers happy; Events: jump into the exciting world of events.

Entry Requirements

English and Maths at National 3.

Progression Routes

Relevant courses at SCQF Level 4 or 5, or employment in the industry.
