Content

This course combines theoretical, practical and performance-based approaches, along with a programme of master classes, workshops and performances delivered by professionals working within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your own professional network and will benefit from the programme’s connections with theatre practitioners and arts centres in the region. This will give you fantastic access to a variety of placements and performance opportunities, as well as supporting you beyond the course and onwards onto your chosen path.

Year 2
Introduction to performance studies; Theatre design and the imagination; Audio performance; Research and performance; Cultural planning 1; Introduction to directing.

Year 3
Script adaptation and development; Live and online: digital theatre; Production 2 (technical); Reading performance; Placement; Applied performance 1 (education).

Year 4
Creative industry research project; Cultural planning 2; Autonomous performer; Applied performance 2 (health).
