With the boom in renewable energy and other rapidly emerging technologies, electrical engineers are in demand. This course will give you the overall skills and knowledge you need to jumpstart your career.

You’ll explore the fundamentals of electricity, how to inspect and test systems, and many other practical and theoretical principles of electronic engineering. When you complete the course successfully, you’ll have a vital entry-level qualification that can also qualify you for the Modern Apprenticeship framework.

You'll learn about the fundamental principles of electrical engineering by completing units including:
Communication core skill unit; Mathematics: Technician 1; Engineering: Applying information technology; Electrical principles; Fundamental electrical systems; Inspection and testing of electrical installations; Single and three-phase induction motors; Electrical testing and measurement; Earthing and earth fault current protection; Engineering project; Electrostatics and electromagnetism; Transformation and rectification.
