The BEng (Hons) Engineering provides you the unique opportunity to study a range of engineering courses, to help you decide which aspect of engineering you are most interested in, before choosing to either transfer onto the second year of one of Heriot-Watt’s engineering undergraduate degrees, or continuing on the BSc (hons) Combined Studies to further customise your learning experience.

The one-year programme allows you to design your own bespoke learning experience and explore the various engineering disciplines that Heriot-Watt has to offer. You can study modules across Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Civil and Structural, and Architectural engineering to find out which engineering disciplines most aligns with your strengths, abilities, interests, and career ambitions.

Standard entry: 4 Highers at AABB (two sittings) including Maths and a relevant science subject at AB or BA plus English at National 5.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC (two sittings) including Maths and a relevant science subject at BB plus English at National 5.
