Travel and tourism is a diverse and vibrant industry with vast employment opportunities regionally, nationally, and internationally.
The aim of this course is to deliver enhanced, emerging and vocationally relevant sector skills that will support economic recovery in general as well as those that will help underpin the region’s key economic sectors. Underpinning this goal is a course that offers transferable vocational skills that will improve your employment prospects by developing a range of transferrable business skills while developing Travel and Tourism sector specific skills.
You will study: Structure of the travel and tourism industry; Tour guiding and resort representation; Applying marketing principles; Working as senior air cabin crew; Airport ground operations; International tourist destinations; Organising an event; Visitor attraction operation.
1 relevant Higher; or Advanced Certificate: Tourism with Events; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
