Level 1: provides an introduction to psychology as a method of scientific enquiry. The course focuses upon these core themes: social behaviour, cognitive processes, and human abilities and personality. During Level 2 you will learn about more advanced research methods, and classes will introduce you to further central themes in psychology: perception and development, neuropsychology and language. Levels 3 and 4 programmes are designed to consolidate and extend your knowledge of the core topics covered in the first two Levels. You may also take various optional subjects depending on your interests.

Entry Requirements

2026 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBBC (BBCC for widening access entry) including Maths.

Advanced entry to 2nd year available with Advanced Highers including Maths at AB plus Highers at BB.
