This fast-track course is designed for people with few or no qualifications looking to begin a rewarding career as a nurse. Upon successful completion, this course will ensure you have the correct entry requirements to progress onto our University Access to Nursing course. We have a partnership with Edinburgh Napier University where our University Access to Nursing students who are progressing well will be offered an interview for entry into year one of their Nursing degree programme.
Subjects Include:
Human body; Introduction to First Aid; Understanding Mental Health; Medical Terminology; Communication in care relationships; Numeracy; Communication.
Out of formal education for more than three years. Experience of working in a care setting is desirable.
Another Health and Social Care related Level 6 course taught at Edinburgh College.
