We have been working with our Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) to combine our strengths and offer accredited LLB Honours degree with specialisms in Energy and Oil and Gas Law.

Our Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) is internationally renowned in the field of international business transactions and natural resources and energy law and policy. Our interdisciplinary approach to teaching, research and consultancy provides a unique perspective on how governments, business and communities operate, providing the professionals of today with the ability to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

In your third and fourth year you will develop a detailed knowledge and expertise in this key commercial field and will study modules such as Energy Law, Oil and Gas law, and Energy Projects and Environmental Law. You will also be able to do a dissertation in your specialist area. When you successfully graduate with this LLB, you will be guaranteed entry to CEPMLP’s highly competitive LLM programme and will also be entitled to a fee discount for it.

Entry Requirements

2026 entry requirements:
5 Highers at AAABB (4 Highers at ABBB for widening access entry) preferably including English plus National 5 Maths at B recommended.
