The nationally recognised HNC Acting and Performance is aimed at those with experience and/or genuine interest in acting and performance. It will allow you to develop your skills in voice, movement, acting and stage craft.

Taking part in performances in our versatile performing arts studio as well as in the community, you will work co-operatively in teams experiencing opportunities for leadership, and take part in innovative and creative approaches to work in rehearsal and performance.

Mandatory units are:
Acting 1: developing skills; Acting and performance: group award graded unit 1; Movement 1: developing skills; Production 1: developing skills; Voice 1: developing skills.

Option units are:
Creating drama scripts; Devising theatre; Shakespeare in practice; Theatre histories in performance; Acting for camera.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English plus 4 subjects at National 5; or NC Acting and Performance; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
