This course introduces you to the world of digital arts and animation, combining traditional art, sketchbook and portfolio development with hands-on experience in mixed media and digital techniques.

You’ll explore creative drawing, thematic studies, design, character development and animation while building a distinctive portfolio that showcases your skills and ideas, perfect preparation for progressing to higher art and design courses or starting your journey in the creative industries.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English and Art and Design or Graphic Communication, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

You can progress on to a range of HNC or HND courses such as Digital Arts, Creative Animation or Digital Design: Graphics.
