If you’re aged between 16 and 19, highly motivated, positive and willing to learn, this Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship Programme Scottish Power (Electrical Engineering) course will can help you to get your first taste of an engineering career. You can gain a Level 5 qualification along with the opportunity to be considered by Scottish Power as an apprentice on their Modern Apprenticeship Programme. You’ll learn basic electrical principles and installation skills, as well as studying maths, IT and health and safety.

Content:
Fundamental electrical principles; Basic electrical systems; Basic electrical installation skills; Health and safety at work; Mathematics; Information technology; Communication; Inspection and testing.

You will receive a monthly allowance of £333 as a contribution towards travel and any course expenses.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including Maths and English or a science subject. Interview.

Progression Routes

Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation (SVQ at SCQF Level 7) or HNC Electrical Engineering.
