This two-year HND Infrastructure with Cyber Security course specialises in network infrastructure and the security and maintenance of that infrastructure. This HND offer a comprehensive understanding of IT systems, covering infrastructure design and management alongside the ability to identify and mitigate cyber security risks.

The combination of infrastructure concepts and cyber security skills is highly sought after in today’s job market due to the increasing frequency of cyber threats. On completion of the HND you are well-positioned for various roles, such as network or system administrator, IT security analyst or infrastructure manager, providing versatility in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

You are also given the opportunity to enter WorldSkills competitions. Glasgow Clyde College are the lead developers for the cyber security competition, and we have consistent participation in the following competitions:

- Cyber security
- IT support technician
- Network infrastructure technician
- Network server administrator
- Web development

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths, Computing Science or a science subject plus English at National 5, or a relevant NQ or equivalent qualification.

Direct entry to year two of the HND may be possible if you already have a relevant HNC.
