Through a dynamic combination of creative design and practical business this inventive programme develops innovative and entrepreneurial graduates ready to succeed in the fashion industry.

You'll be equipped with a deep understanding of the global fashion industry, exploring marketing and business modules that you will apply to the world of fashion. You will explore the sustainability of the fashion industry in depth, gaining insights into how to be a responsible leader in the sector. You will be building a wide range of technical and practical skills, including pattern cutting, garment construction and computer-aided fashion design software.

Year 1
Enterprising Behaviours for the Business Professional; Introduction to Textiles; Introduction to Garment Construction; Fashion Design Principles; Principles of Fashion Brand Management; Fundamentals of Financial Management.

Year 2
Ethics and Responsible Leadership; Fashion Design Concepts 1; Garment Production and Sustainability 1; Fashion Design Concepts 2; Garment Production and Sustainability 2; Fashion Brand Promotion.

Year 3
International Marketing Strategy; Fashion Design for Industry 1; Fashion Buying and Sustainable Supply Chain Management; Business Research Methods: Theory and Practice; Fashion Design for Industry 2; Work Placement Experience.

Year 4
Honours Dissertation; Fashion Design Practice 1; Changing Perspectives in International Marketing; Fashion Design Practice 2; Option module.

Entry Requirements

2025 entry requirements

Standard entry: 5 Highers at BBBBB including Art and Design.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BCCC including Art and Design.

A Foundation Apprenticeship is accepted as equivalent of a non-essential Higher at B.
