The NQ Performing Arts course at New College Lanarkshire is designed as a stepping stone for potential students looking to build on existing experience in performing arts or those who are seeking to gain experience. The NQ Performing Arts course offers opportunities to explore acting, singing, movement, devising, dance, voice, theatre studies, devising, stage craft, audition technique, screen acting. Delivered in studio spaces by highly accomplished, professional staff, the NQ Performing Arts course will help students develop their abilities and prepare them for further training. This course should be seen as the first step of continuous training in a relevant subject such as HN Acting, HN Musical Theatre or HN Dance.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English is preferred but not essential, as is experience in performing arts. Anyone with a passion for the arts can apply.

Applicants will be invited to attend an audition and interview where they will perform chosen monologues from published plays (more details are available once interviews/auditions are arranged) and take part in a short interview and workshop session.
