The NQ Performing Arts course at New College Lanarkshire is designed as a stepping stone for potential students looking to build on existing experience in performing arts or those who are seeking to gain experience. The NQ Performing Arts course offers opportunities to explore acting, singing, movement, devising, dance, voice, theatre studies, devising, stage craft, audition technique, screen acting.
Classes are tailored to cover a wide variety of peformance skills such as:
Acting; Voice and singing; Movement; Audition technique; Devising theatre; Stage craft; Screen acting.
National 5 English is preferred but not essential, as is experience in performing arts. Anyone with a passion for the arts can apply.
Applicants will be invited to attend an audition and interview where they will perform chosen monologues from published plays (more details are available once interviews/auditions are arranged) and take part in a short interview and workshop session.
