This course has been designed to introduce you to animation software packages across both 2D and 3D.

The course will give you the opportunity to create a series of short animations enabling you to confidently display your knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of computer animation and the creative process.

You will develop a working-understanding of the creative processes involved in the production of Animation Projects; from Concept-Art, through Development, to final Post-Production techniques.

You will be introduced to and trained in the use of industry-standard software including Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe: Animate, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Illustrator.

Subject areas include: Character creation; Drawing development; Still images; Introduction to 2D/3D animation.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 preferably including Art and Design. You will also be required to attend an interview and provide a portfolio of art work.
