The nationally recognised HNC Acting and Performance is aimed at those with experience and/or genuine interest in acting and performance. It will allow you to develop your skills in voice, movement, acting and stage craft.

Mandatory units are:
Acting 1: developing skills; Acting and performance: group award graded unit 1; Movement 1: developing skills; Production 1: developing skills; Voice 1: developing Skills.

Option units are:
Acting methods and practitioners; Creating drama scripts; Devising theatre; Shakespeare in practice; Drama skills: leading a workshop.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English plus 4 subjects at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.

Progression Routes

2nd year of the BA (Hons) Drama and Productionfollowing successful completion of this HNC.
