Data is one of the fastest growing areas within the computing industry, and this course will help you build up the type of knowledge and skills which are highly sought after. The course helps develop your skills in digital forensics and cyber security. You will learn basic web development skills, including HTML5 programming and CSS. In addition, you will develop skills in SW development using Visual Basic. You will also learn about network infrastructure and hardware computer components.

You will study:
Digital Forensics; Data Citizenship; HTML5 Coding/CSS; Javascript; Computer hardware and operating systems; Computer networking technologies; Web design and development; Information systems design and development; Software Development; Animation Fundamentals; Computing Project.

Entry Requirements

3 relevant subjects at National 4 including English, or Certificate: Computing with Computer Games Design & Cyber Security, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
