This is an exciting and hands-on computing course suitable for school leavers or mature students who want to develop their skills in the rapidly growing areas of cyber security, software development and networking required for entering industry or further study at HNC/HND level.
With 46% of all businesses reporting having a cyber security breach in 2019, cyber security is one of the fastest growing industries in Scotland. On this course you will develop your cyber security and ethical hacking skills.
Topics Include:
Data Science; Ethical Hacking; Software Design and Development; Computer hardware and operating systems; Designing and developing websites; Digital Forensics; Applications development; Computing project; Apps for good; Academic skills; Networking Fundamentals.
3 subjects at National 5, preferably including Computing Science, or Intermediate Certificate: Computing with Software Development and Cyber Security, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
