This is a new Level 5 certificated hospitality course. This course will give students the chance to develop their bakery skills and gives them the practical experience needed to work as a baker or cake decorator.
Course content includes:
Craft Baking; Bread Making; Patisserie; Cake Decorating: An introduction; Cake Decoration: Gateaux Finishing Processes; Pastry and dough products.
4 subjects at National 4 including English and Maths. Interview
Professional Cookery (City and Guilds) Level 2 or 3.
