Content

This course will develop your skills in cyber security, hardware, software and applications, as well as introduce you to new areas such as servers and animation. It also includes a National Progression Award in Cyber Security.

Content includes:

Advanced concepts of software development and computer architecture; the role of servers; plan, design and develop a small website; techniques and concepts in producing 2D animation using software; advanced word processing skills, using web app.

You’ll develop skills in cyber security and be encouraged to improve your cyber hygiene and resilience. You will learn to identify security vulnerabilities safely, legally and ethically.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including Maths or Computing Science; or NC Computing (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
