With the increasing demand for workers to be skilled in cyber and digital technologies, this course provides you with a platform to develop your existing computing skills and be successful in the ever-growing sector. You will learn how to secure and fault find on computer systems and networks as well as gain knowledge in cyber security. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in programming using Javascript and working with databases using SQL (Structured Query Language).

Content:
The course includes 3 National Progression Awards:-
- NPA in Cyber security
- NPA in Software development
- NPA in Professional computer fundamentals.

Subjects studied -
Cyber security; Software development; Security fundamentals; Network fundamentals; Server fundamentals; Ethical hacking; Data security; Digital forensics; Maths for computing.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English or Maths, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

Progression Routes

Progression onto HNC Computing; Careers in Computing support, Website design, IT systems design/support.
