This course is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of the working practices of the UK Creative Industries with a focus on music.

Students will develop creative and technical skills relevant for employment within the Creative Industries, one of the fastest growing sectors of the UK economy, and for progression to further learning.

The course is based around a set of core Creative Industries modules with specialist modules in subjects including music technology, composition, performance and recording.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4. You must show evidence of instrumental or vocal musical ability.

Progression Routes

Successful completion of the NC programme provides progression to Higher National Certificate (HNC) Music at Shetland College UHI, or HNC and Higher National Diploma (HND) music and related subject programmes at other higher education institutions throughout the UK.
