This degree combines computing and IT and business. These two subjects are intertwined throughout the world of work. You’ll divide your time equally between computing and IT and business. You’ll gain insight into markets, organisations, processes, strategies, policies and decision making. This will complement the skills and knowledge you develop in computing and IT. And you’ll pick a computing and IT focus to fit your needs and interests. Preparing you to take part in the management and execution of computer-related projects in a business setting.
There are no formal entry requirements to study this degree. Computer and internet access required.
If you’re new to study or to the OU, we recommend that you start with a course at Level 1.
On successful completion of the required number and type of modules you will be awarded a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Computing and IT degree. Depending on which modules you choose the Computing and IT degree may help you to obtain professional recognition from BCS – the Chartered Institute for IT, or from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Both are professional bodies established by royal charter.
