Practical activities are facilitated in our training restaurant, which is open to the public and designed to simulate a realistic working environment.

To work as a successful chef within the hospitality industry, it is essential to have a good foundation in a wide range of high quality cooking skills and be able to apply them across a wide range of contexts.

This course delivers professional training in an environment that supports and delivers skills and qualifications that employers find desirable in the current hospitality and professional cookery industry. In addition, in order to round your skills you will have the opportunity to serve within the training restaurant to develop professional service skills, barista skills, bar skills and an understanding of restaurant operations.

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications required, however work experience in a hospitality or professional cookery related business would be desirable, most importantly the motivation and willingness to learn and embark upon a career within the Hospitality Industry is essential.

On completing the programme you may progress to the Diploma Level 2 course or enter employment.
