On this HND Electrical Engineering year 2 course, you'll expand on the electrical principles covered in the HNC Electrical Engineering.
The course is designed to enable you to gain employment in the Electrical Engineering Industry and Electrical supply sector which deals with the production, transmission, distribution and application of electricity and the manufacture, installation, design and maintenance of electrical equipment or you can apply for third year of a degree program.
Some of the subjects you will study:
Electrical motor drives; Electrical installation design; Power electronics; Electrical switchgear and protection; Graded unit 2 electrical engineering; and Engineering Mathematics 3 and 4.
HNC Engineering: Electrical. Interview.
There is an established two + two degree programme with Glasgow Caledonian University in both Power Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Renewables.
