Based at the college's award-winning Dance Studio Scotland in Anniesland campus, this one or two-year NQ course gives you a dazzling introduction to a broad range of dance styles, from classical ballet and tap to jazz and contemporary. The course is taught at two levels, and you’ll be placed on the level best suited to you. You’ll focus mainly on honing your practical skills, but also study theory across a variety of dance contexts.

Body Conditioning; Choreography; Classical Ballet; Contemporary Dance; Dance Appreciation; Dance Etiquette and Personal Development; Dance Improvisation; Exercise and Fitness: Gymnasium; Healthy Eating for Dancers; ISTD Examinations Syllabi; Jazz Dance; Performance Skills; Preparation for Audition; Stage Make-up; Street Dance / Hip Hop; and Tap Dance.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English. Physical potential for professional dance training. Practical audition. Interview.
