This thorough two-year course will give you the skills to help you progress to electrical engineering in a future managerial role. You’ll learn about inspection, testing, safety and electricity power systems, as well as Engineering maths units 1-4, giving you a good grounding as an innovative, future-ready engineering professional.

In this HND Electrical Engineering course, you'll complete a range of units such as:
DC and AC principles; Electrical machine principles; Application of electrical and electronic instruments; Three phase systems; Electricity power systems; Communication; Engineering mathematics 1; Electrical engineering graded unit 1; Electrical safety; Inspection and testing of low-voltage installations; Engineering Maths 1 – 4 will be delivered during the two years of the course.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths or Physics; or NC Electrical Engineering (Level 6) or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
